Working principle

Essential oil is extracted by steam distillation. Fresh or dried aromatic plant raw materials are put into the extraction tank , which is then heated and sent into steam to evaporate the plant essential oil. After the steam containing essential oil is collected and cooled through a condenser, the vapor with the essential oil will be cooled into a liquid mixture, and then go to into the oil/water separator,it will be separated according to the difference of specific gravity and density between the water and essential oil. Among the remaining water, some essential oils are more or less dissolved in it, which is the so-called flower water. Most of the essential oils are extracted in this way

Machine composite

Essential oil extraction machine includes extractor distill tank ,condenser ,sub-cooler ,oil/water separator ,collection tank and pipeline.etc

1. extraction distiller tank :it can use the multifucntional tradition extraction tank ,which have the double jacketed structure ,top equipped with manhole cover for the flowers material loading ,bottom with the pneumatic discharge door gate . it is also can use the basket type extraction tank ,which flowers raw material can charge into the feeding basket ,then load the basket into the extraction tank ,after extraction ,the residue material in the basket will can be take out too .

2. condenser : shell and tube type condenser ,material is Stainless steel ,essential oil passed inside tube ,cooler passed outside tube

3. sub-cooler : coil type sub-cooler ,material is Stainless steel ,essential oil passed inside tube ,cooler passed outside tube.

4. water /oil separator : glass material ,which can be easily to check inside oil level ,so it can be used to collect the essential oil ab drain the water

5 pipeline and valve for the system ,material is Stainless steel

Simple operation steps of essential oil extraction

Steam direct distill extraction method :

1. First open the manhole to charge the flower or other raw material into the extraction tank ,then close the manhole .

2. Open the condenser and sub-cooler chiller inlet valve to make the cooling running in the condenser /sub-cooler .

3. Open the steam inlet valve to control the steam inlet flow capacity.

4. Watch the water/oil separator and adjust the water drain or back valve to make the essential oil coming in a stable status

5. When the oil level goes upper and collect the essential oil .

6. After collection all the essential oil ,then close the steam valve and cooling water valve

7. Open the pneumatic discharge gate to drain the residue raw material

8. Washing inside shell and pipeline by water .
